Statement of Faith

1. The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final rule for faith and life, fully sufficient to equip the believer for every good work.

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.”
— 2 Timothy 3:16–17

“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.”
— Isaiah 40:8

2. God

We believe in one eternal God, existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—each fully God and equal in essence, yet distinct in role.

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.”
— Deuteronomy 6:4

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
— Matthew 28:19

3. Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died as a substitutionary sacrifice for sinners, rose bodily from the grave, and will return in glory to judge and reign.

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us… full of grace and truth.”
— John 1:14

“Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures… he was buried… he was raised on the third day.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:3–4

4. The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, regenerates the heart, indwells believers, empowers for holiness and service, and gives spiritual gifts for the building up of the church.

“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses…”
— Acts 1:8

“Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?”
— 1 Corinthians 3:16

5. Salvation

We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. No one can earn salvation by works; it is a free gift of God for all who repent and believe in Jesus.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.”
— Ephesians 2:8–9

“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
— Romans 10:9

6. The Church

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all true believers. It exists to glorify God through worship, discipleship, fellowship, service, and evangelism. We believe in the local church as a gathered expression of God’s people under biblical leadership and committed to gospel mission.

“Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.”
— 1 Corinthians 12:27

“Let us not neglect meeting together… but encourage one another…”
— Hebrews 10:25

7. Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality

We believe that God creates each person as male or female, and that these two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. We affirm that gender is determined by God and evident at birth. We believe that marriage is a covenantal union ordained by God to join one man and one woman in a single, exclusive relationship for life. Sexual intimacy is designed by God to occur only within the bounds of biblical marriage. Any form of sexual activity outside of this union is contrary to God's design and will.

“Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”
— Genesis 2:24

“For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions… the women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature…”
— Romans 1:26–27

“Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.”
— Hebrews 13:4

(Also: Romans 7:2; 1 Corinthians 7:10; Ephesians 5:22–23; 1 Thessalonians 4:1–8)

8. The Return of Christ

We believe Jesus Christ will return bodily and visibly in glory to judge the living and the dead and to bring final restoration to all things.

“They will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.”
— Mark 13:26

“According to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.”
— 2 Peter 3:13
